The following instructions will give you the best and safest burn.

1. Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4" using scissors or a wick trimmer for a clean, safe burn and increased candle burn time.

2. Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar every burn to prevent tunneling - especially important on the first burn! (Lighting and quickly extinguishing will create a candle memory which is what causes tunneling.)

3. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time. To protect the surface below from heat, place your candle on a coaster.

4. Don't burn your candle if only 1/4"-1/2" of wax remains. Lighting a candle without enough wax can overheat the jar.

5. Once the candle is finished, clean out the jar and repurpose it. If you are local, simply order a refill and return the empty vessel to us. (To easily clean, place jar in freezer and allow the remaining wax to harden. Chip out the wax and discard,remove the wick holder, wipe out vessel, hand wash and dry.
